About Me

I have been a quilter, sewer, knitter, scrapbooker, basket weaver, and general crafter most of my life. In the course of pursuing my passions, I have learned that the crafter must have uninterrupted time to complete projects. With everyone's busy schedule, crafting on a daily basis is difficult.  However, most are willing to schedule days to get together with like-minded friends and spend that time sharing a love for crafting as well as simply relaxing away from the busy day.

I have been to many retreats, specifically for quilting, and have noticed that more quality work is produced when with friends in an encouraging environment. This atmosphere of comfort and relaxation, along with all the amenities, allows us to indulge ourselves in spending that necessary uninterrupted time with our artistries. The Hemmed Inn LLC offers the perfect environment to fulfill that indulgence.  This retreat, nestled in the quiet countryside, provides excellent lighting, roomy workspace, comfortable task chairs, a fully equipped kitchen, a modern private bathroom, and cozy bedrooms.

Creating The Hemmed Inn has been a dream come true for me. I have overseen and managed the process completely from purchasing the building, to hiring a contractor, to painting the walls, ceilings, and trim.  There isn’t a piece of this retreat that I haven’t touched with my own hands.  It started as a dream, and has become my reality. Now, I am ready to share it with you!
